History

Science tells us that cays on the Great Barrier Reef started forming about 8,000 years ago following the Ice Age. And so it is estimated that Green Island is about 6,000 years old.

Green Island is 1.6 kilometres in circumference, which means it is effortless to cover most, if not all, of the island on foot during your day trip.
