Great Adventures Cairns Great Barrier Reef Pontoon

Great Adventures Cairns departs from Green Island daily.  This Great Adventures Reef activity platform on the Great Barrier Reef offers a fantastic day for swimmers and non-swimmers.

We are starting from Green Island at 11:20 am and returning to Green Island at 3:45 pm.

Great Barrier Reef

Australia’s Great Barrier Reef is considered one of the world’s seven natural wonders.  The Great Barrier Reef stretches from Bundaberg to Papua New Guinea in the North.   A distance of 2,300 kilometres.  The Reef is an abundance of brightly coloured fish and coral.

Australia’s Great Barrier Reef is home to 30 species of whales, porpoises and dolphins.

Six species of sea turtles live on the Great Barrier Reef.

Two hundred fifteen species of birds, as well as 1500 species of fish, all live on the Reef.

Pop on a mask and snorkel and discover the colours of the Great Barrier Reef.  It will take your breath away.

First, this tour travels to an all-weather Reef activity pontoon on the outer barrier Reef.

You will find amazing underwater visibility, abundant marine life, and coral here.

This all-weather Reef platform offers a range of fantastic activities.   

On the Reef pontoon, there are activities for swimmers and non-swimmers, including an Underwater observatory, snorkelling, scuba diving, and sea walker.

Next, we arrive at a magnificent outer Great Barrier Reef, where guests can enjoy various activities.

Your tour includes a snorkel, mask, fins, and floatation devices to make snorkelling easy.

While at the Reef, a friendly crew will help you with your gear and lifesavers to ensure your safety.

Scuba Diving

Would you like to experience the Great Barrier Reef like a fish?  Introductory diving is a fantastic way to see marine life and coral.

You will be handled by a professional PADI dive instructor who will ensure your safety and comfort. You will be diving with an experienced instructor who is familiar with the Reef location.

Already a certified scuba diver, let’s get you geared up and enjoying our best dive sites.

Also,  try Scuba Doo.  It is so much fun cruising around the Reef on an underwater scooter.  Non-swimmers can also enjoy this exciting optional extra.

Great Adventures Cairns Semi Submarine

In addition to snorkelling and scuba diving, you can also take a semi-submersible tour.  This tour includes informative marine commentary and departs every 30 minutes.

Pop into the underwater observatory for coral and fish viewing during your tour.

From the underwater observatory, you can view brightly coloured fish and coral. You may also see giant clams and a scuba diver passing by.

The large windows of the underwater observatory keep everyone mesmerized.
