Whether you’re visiting for a few hours or planning to stay overnight, packing smart will help you make the most of your Green Island experience. From snorkelling gear to sun protection, we’ve created a simple checklist to keep your day stress-free, safe, and full of tropical fun.
🧴 Essentials to Bring
- Swimwear – You’ll want to jump straight into the crystal-clear water
- Towel – Bring your own, or hire one from the island if needed
- Reef-safe sunscreen – Help protect the reef while staying sun safe
- Hat & sunglasses – A wide-brimmed hat and polarised sunnies are best
- Lightweight clothing – Breathable, sun-protective fabrics work well
- Reusable water bottle – Stay hydrated (refill stations are available)
- Thongs or reef shoes – Easy to slip on and off at the beach
- Camera or GoPro – The reef and rainforest are full of photo-worthy moments
- Cash or card – For lunch, drinks, souvenirs or optional experiences

- Snorkel gear – Hire is available, but you’re welcome to bring your own
- Underwater phone case – Capture coral, fish, and sea turtles up close
- Stinger suit or rashie – Great for sun protection and safe swimming (especially Nov–May)
- Dry bag – Keep your valuables safe from splashes on the boat or beach
- Change of clothes – Especially handy if you’re heading straight to dinner after
