What to Pack for Green Island 🎒

Your Essential Packing List for a Day in Paradise

Whether you’re visiting for a few hours or planning to stay overnight, packing smart will help you make the most of your Green Island experience. From snorkelling gear to sun protection, we’ve created a simple checklist to keep your day stress-free, safe, and full of tropical fun.

🧴 Essentials to Bring

  • Swimwear – You’ll want to jump straight into the crystal-clear water
  • Towel – Bring your own, or hire one from the island if needed
  • Reef-safe sunscreen – Help protect the reef while staying sun safe
  • Hat & sunglasses – A wide-brimmed hat and polarised sunnies are best
  • Lightweight clothing – Breathable, sun-protective fabrics work well
  • Reusable water bottle – Stay hydrated (refill stations are available)
  • Thongs or reef shoes – Easy to slip on and off at the beach
  • Camera or GoPro – The reef and rainforest are full of photo-worthy moments
  • Cash or card – For lunch, drinks, souvenirs or optional experiences

🤿 Optional (But Recommended!)

  • Snorkel gear – Hire is available, but you’re welcome to bring your own
  • Underwater phone case – Capture coral, fish, and sea turtles up close
  • Stinger suit or rashie – Great for sun protection and safe swimming (especially Nov–May)
  • Dry bag – Keep your valuables safe from splashes on the boat or beach
  • Change of clothes – Especially handy if you’re heading straight to dinner after

👨‍👩‍👧 Family-Friendly Additions

  • Floatation devices or pool noodles for little snorkellers
  • Wet wipes & hand sanitiser
  • Snacks or packed lunch (if not included in your tour)
  • Favourite toys or books for relaxed downtime under the trees

💡 What You Don’t Need to Bring

  • Snorkel & dive gear – Available to hire or included with most packages
  • Chairs or umbrellas – Beach hire is available
  • Food (if lunch is included) – Many packages include lunch or light snacks
  • Heavy clothing or bulky bags – Keep it light and island-ready!
